We provide health care and medical services for horses, cattle, sheep and goats, pigs, llamas and alpacas, dogs and cats, as well as a variety of other animals.

Our mission is to provide quality care for your animals on both a routine and emergency basis.  We strive to create a partnership with owners and clients to improve the health and welfare of animals in central Maine. Our diverse experience and knowledge allows us to offer innovative solutions through the use of modern techniques and tools.

We strongly believe in client education and communication because it prepares owners to be more involved in the decision making process surrounding the care of their animal.

Please welcome Drs. Meghan Flanagan and Kelsey Hilton to our veterinary team! They have recently joined us and they both specialize in food animal medicine and work on cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, llamas and alpacas!

If you bundle a Spring Wellness Exam and a Fecal Panel when you have our Equine Veterinarians out for your horse's spring shots, you will receive a 10% discount on these two services!  If you bundle a Spring Wellness Exam, a Fecal Panel,  AND Routine Bloodwork (CBC, Chemistry and Fibrinogen) you will receive 15% off all three Equine services!

We have recently arranged for an easier, online way for you to manage your pet's health care and discover helpful veterinary information! Scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the "Pet Portal" icon and see how this tool can help you! As this is a brand new feature, we are still learning about it, but hope it will enhance our communication with you! You can also access our new online pharmacy once you are logged into your pet portal!
 

Annabessacook Equine is now recommending that you vaccinate your horses every 6 months for lyme disease after their initial booster series. Please give us a call to schedule your fall boosters!  Fall is a great time to get your horse's teeth floated, and to make sure they are in good health before another cold Maine winter!
