Our Welcoming Receptionists

Heather Urquhart: Heather is our Inventory Manager and she is also a Receptionist. Heather communicates with our product vendors to provide savings for the clinic and subsequently for our clients. Heather makes special orders of products not in stock at the clinic for our clients, and she addresses concerns and questions between our clients and our doctors. Heather lives with "Dominic" the rescue terrier dog, and her two cats, Magellean and Pandora.

Gina Vashon: Gina is always available to answer questions and offer suggestions for you and your pet regarding scheduling and treatments at the clinic. Gina lives with her shy rescue beagle mix "Dawson" and her cat "Calvin". Gina loves to Kayak and cook with her father who makes some of the best bread in Maine!


Katie Charpentier: Katie recently joined us as a receptionist in our small animal clinic and has been in customer services for 6 years. Katie was recently married and she has a son & a pit bull mix named Roxy Girl. Katie loves working around animals, boating & wheeling, camping & being around family and friends.


Sarah Pettengill: Sarah started with us in October of 2014 as a receptionist. She grew up in Fayette Maine, and now she lives in Winthrop with her two dogs Ruger and Gauge. Sarah also has horses at her family's farm where she grew up named Cole, Star and Sparky. Sarah loves to ride horses, kayak and spend time with her family. Sarah has a degree in Small Business Management from UMA and she is a certified Equine Massage Therapist! We are excited to have her on our team!

Our Support Staff


Melinda Robinson:  Veterinary Technician- Melinda returned to Annabessacook Veterinary Clinic in 2011 to work in the small animal clinic. Melinda lives in Litchfield  with her husband, her daughter and her son. She is a 4H leader and enjoys working her two pairs of steers at the local fairs with her family.   Melinda has two mini horses and a flock of chickens that her children sell eggs from. Melinda also has a domestic longhaired cat named Luna and a tiny daschund mix named Maizie.


Patricia Pratte: Animal Assistant- Patty owned a farm for 20 years, working with horses, cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, chicken and geese. She attended Gorham College and U. of Maine, then became a substitute and assistant teacher for 8 years. She was also a stay-at-home-mom, interior and exterior painter. Patty even owned and operated Genesis Gym and Fitness Center for 8 years. Outside of her diverse work background, she enjoys gardening, antiquing, reading, playing with her dog, and spending time with her children and granddaughter. As her previous work shows, she loves animals of all sorts. Her tradition of having animals continues, with several cats and large dogs Brinkley the Great Pyrenees and Wolfrik the Hovawart (also a big dog!)



Carmen Fisher: Licensed Veterinary Technician- Carmen graduated from University College of Bangor in 2010 with an associates in Veterinary Technology and is licensed as an LVT. Carmen grew up in Sabattus, Maine on her family's dairy farm where she still works.  She is married to her husband, Gerry, and they recently had a baby boy named Gage who keeps them very busy!  They also have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a rabbit. When she's not working, Carmen enjoys hiking, sewing, reading and showing dairy cows competitively.

Roslyn "Roz" Fine: Veterinary Technician- Roz has diverse training as a licensed esthetician as well as an Associate's degree and ASCP certification in phlebotomy (on humans!). She also took veterinary technician training. A native in New Jersey after being born in Texas, Roz eventually landed in Maine. She enjoys phlebotomy in the clinic on our variety of small patients, and is particularly interested in both traditional and holistic medicine. Away from the clinic, Roz keeps busy with skiing on land or water, snowshoeing, and skijouring. Her family keeps her busy as well: so Garrett, daughter Veronica, and husband Greg. Her non-human family consists of 2 goats, 2 Aussies, 2 cats, fish, 12 chickens, and 1 young crow that has adopted her!



Shelby Fraser: Licensed Veterinary Technician- Shelby joined us in March of 2013 for an internship, and then took a job with us after she graduated from the University of Maine, Bangor,  in May.  A native of Augusta, ME,  She currently shares her home with her husband and their two children.





Nicole Loon: Licensed Veterinary Technician-  After graduating from Monmouth Academy, Nichole moved to Bangor to attend Husson University to pursue a career in education. Nicole took a Marine Biology course at Husson that sparked her interest in Veterinary medicine and inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinary technician.  While attending Husson, Nichole also worked at Sam's Club in various departments learning the importance of customer service. She continued her work and studies in Bangor while attending University of Maine at Augusta's Vet Tech program, earning her Associate's Degree and graduating in May of 2015. She currently lives in Monmouth and is a Dog Mom to her Border Collie named Molly.










Charity Cram: Licensed Veterinary Technician-  Charity has worked with us in the past but took a job at the Small Animal Emergency Clinic in Lewiston for a few years before rejoining our veterinary technician team in 2015!  We are very excited to have her back!  Charity has a variety of pets from cows and horses to dogs and cats, to chickens and goats. Charity went to the University of NH for college.  Charity enjoys riding her horses with her three children, and her husband Chris is very supportive of their habit!














Daisi Poole: Veterinary Technician-  Daisi was born and raised in Monmouth Maine! She graduated from Vermont Technical College in 2015, and has been working as a small animal vet tech ever since!  Daisi spends her free time going on outdoor adventures like camping and fishing with her dog Mason. Daisi also attends Love On A Leash visits with her Golden Retriever, Bentley!






Gail Smith: Veterinary Technician-  Gail started in our small animal clinic in January 2017. Gail used to work at the emergency clinic in Lewiston before she joined our clinic. Gail has 2 dogs named Dakota and Fozzie, and four cats named Twix, Squash, Luna and Isis.  She also has 7 ducks and 2 guinea hens. Gail is married and has a daughter.  She enjoys hiking and the great outdoors in her spare time.
